Thank goodness that challenge is over !!!
The journey began on the 1st March - many will remember that day as it was the start of the 'Beast Of The East'. Stepping out in thick snow looking like Scott of the Antarctic all bar the slick soled trainers sinking deeply into the snow. Little thought or planning had been given to the 154.9 miles that lay ahead as I slid and trudged off down the road !!
Throughout March a minimum of 5 miles was walked every day in aid of Cancer Research UK ...... some days a lot more. The most being when my head of moral and social well-being (Claire Willson) accompanied me walking 9.9 miles through the parklands of Milton Keynes.
The 155 targeted miles were surpassed on the 21st of March and since then have crawled, walked and limped a further 55 miles.
Owing to everyone's unselfish generosity the donations that have come in so far have smashed the £500.00 original target. We have raised currently £1057.00 with £239.00 gift aid...... Amazing.
Now that the Walk All Over Cancer' has ended i would like to sincerely thank everyone for their support, donations and generosity - The whole experience has been totally humbling... THANK YOU
